PHOTOGRAPH AND NOTES ON C SHARP TRILL KEY

The above Photograph shows the position of the C sharp trill key tone hole. It is the large key
to the right of the small trill key.

This photoograph shows the actuating lever for the C sharp trill key. This lever is unusual on
this flute (a Haynes) and is the straight trill key immediately behind the curved trill key close
to the rod mechanism. This arrangement makes it very easy to use.

C sharp trills are very common in the States but are almost unknown in the UK. There are
various uses other than just facilitating a C sharp trill.  G3 sharp plays perfectly using the
lower G2 sharp fingering plus the C Sharp trill key.
